
Let's talk about sewing machines. Having taught men, women, and children to sew and quilt, we have noticed a common denominator. If a machine snags, drags, tangles and breaks threads most of the time, even an experienced sewist will not know the bliss of sewing. While there is a belief in the industry that 90% of problems encountered are "operator-error," I have met up with quite a few machines that would force an Enlightened Being to tear out her hair no matter how high her "operator" skills are. For that very reason Sandy and I went looking for a high quality, multi-featured line of sewing machines that are affordable with a low repair rate. That search led us to Janome.

A walking foot with a 1/4" guide is now available. Sew those bindings with perfect ease. Two additional walking feet attachments are also available: a stitch-in-the-ditch foot, and an open-toed walking foot.
